The containerized water softening system is a prefabricated water treatment package for industrial water applications. The core function is to reduce raw-water hardness. The softening unit uses ion exchange to remove or replace calcium and magnesium ions, helping reduce scale formation in downstream piping, heat exchangers, boiler make-up systems or process-water equipment. Brine is used for resin regeneration in this system and is not the treated high-salinity wastewater or brine stream; regeneration sequence, cycle and control should be confirmed based on raw-water hardness, target outlet requirements and operating mode.

The prefabricated cabin can integrate equipment foundations, maintenance aisles, piping interfaces, cable routing, distribution boards, lighting, emergency lighting, air conditioning or ventilation. The enclosure provides transport and outdoor protection for the water treatment equipment while allowing site connection to water lines, power and control signals. Internal layout, openings, door configuration and maintenance space can be configured by project.

The system is suitable for industrial circulating-water make-up, boiler make-up, heat-exchanger make-up, process-water pretreatment and other applications that require hardness reduction.
