ETENZ is manufacturing 143 twenty-foot 5 MWh BESS enclosures for a grid-forming storage project in Zhongwei, with internal supports plus fire and electrical interfaces prepared to the system package.
ETENZ is organizing series production of 143 twenty-foot-class, 5 MWh BESS enclosures for a large grid-forming energy storage project in Zhongwei, Ningxia. The batch supports an NR Electric system package and provides a consistent enclosure platform for equipment installation, commissioning and site deployment.
Public project context and batch boundary
The public tender identifies a 720 MW/1,440 MWh grid-forming LFP storage plant in Shapotou District, Zhongwei. That figure describes the overall project, not ETENZ’s supply. ETENZ’s role is the manufacturing batch of 143 enclosures for 5 MWh units.
ETENZ manufacturing and interface scope
The work covers enclosure fabrication, internal battery-rack supports, the end fire-system service compartment and auxiliary distribution area, plus openings, equipment mounting positions, cable routes and maintenance clearances. Battery modules, PCS equipment, BESS integration and plant EPC are outside ETENZ’s scope.
Fire-system and auxiliary distribution equipment share an accessible end service zone.
One manufacturing baseline across 143 units
Large batches require more than a compliant first unit: dimensions and interfaces must stay repeatable across every production lot. Support positions, doors, service access, fire-system areas, auxiliary connections and critical openings are therefore controlled against one project baseline and checked by batch.
Factory-prepared connection positions reduce enclosure rework on site.
Moving site coordination into the factory
Preparing enclosure-side interfaces before shipment reduces site drilling and improvised rework, supports a steadier equipment-installation sequence, and clarifies the handover boundary for staged transport, placement and commissioning.
