Project Overview

ETENZ manufactured one DC de-icing control building for NR Electric at China Southern Power Grid's (CSG) Liping 500 kV substation in Guizhou, China. The E-House comprises two modules and measures 11.4 × 5.6 × 3.5 m overall when assembled. ETENZ's scope covered the enclosure, wall-mounted air conditioners, fire protection and interior integration. The E-House has been delivered to the station and placed on its concrete foundation. Liping is in Qiandongnan, on the Guizhou–Guangxi border, one of the areas most affected by icing in CSG's five southern provinces and regions. The E-House supports the second fixed DC de-icing system being added to the station in 2026. Its two modules were manufactured and transported separately, then joined side by side at Liping, where a cable trench runs alongside the foundation.

Service Scope

Twin-Module Control E-House Manufacturing and Interior Integration for NR Electric

ETENZ manufactured and joined the two modules, supplied and installed the wall-mounted air conditioners and the fire protection system, and completed the interior integration to NR Electric's panel layout. The E-House was delivered to NR Electric and went into the Liping substation with the de-icing system.

Engineering & Integration

Two Modules Form One E-House

The two modules were manufactured and transported separately, then joined side by side at Liping to form one continuous equipment room. The assembled E-House measures 11.4 × 5.6 × 3.5 m overall.

Interior Systems Completed With the Enclosure

The openings and mounting positions for the air conditioners, the fire protection system and the interior integration were set out while the enclosure was being fabricated, and ETENZ completed all three together with the enclosure.

End-Wall Air Conditioners and External Drainage

The air-conditioning units are mounted on the outside of the end walls, and external downpipes on the long walls carry roof rainwater to the ground. On the long wall, a single door serves personnel access and a double door serves equipment.

Delivery Outcome

The E-House has reached CSG's 500 kV Liping substation and stands on its concrete foundation. ETENZ delivered the complete E-House to NR Electric as its manufacturing partner.

Project Value

This project combines separate module fabrication and transport with on-site assembly into a control E-House 5.6 m wide. Air conditioning, fire protection and interior integration form part of the enclosure delivery. Wide control E-Houses for other de-icing stations and substations can use a module arrangement and delivery scope tailored to the required equipment layout.
