Product Features

Genset-Ready

Acoustic lining, airflow, exhaust supports, fuel and power are installed and factory-checked; on site the genset is only placed and connected.

Product Details

Air enters at the alternator end, passes over the alternator and engine and is pushed through the radiator by the fan, leaving through the end-wall outlet in the genset's own direction of flow. Inlet openings are usually 1.5–2 times the radiator area and outlets no smaller than it; the pressure drop of attenuated louvers, rain hoods and filters counts against the external restriction the genset allows. A sealed duct with a flexible joint links the radiator to the outlet and the floor is closed, so hot air cannot loop back to the inlet. The genset and radiator come from the customer or the genset OEM; ETENZ sizes the openings and ducting from the genset data sheet.

Airflow path (schematic)

Exhaust runs from the engine outlet through a stainless-steel bellows into the silencer; brackets carry the silencer and pipework, so the turbocharger takes no load. The roof penetration has a weather sleeve and the outlet a rain cap that opens with the gas flow; horizontal runs fall away from the engine and a condensate drain sits where the pipe turns upward. Silencer and pipework inside the enclosure are insulated and clad, the silencer grade follows the noise limit, and the whole system is designed to about half of the engine's permitted back pressure.

Walls and roof are lined with 50–100 mm of rock or glass wool behind a perforated facing; doors close on compression latches against continuous seals, and the air openings carry attenuated louvers or splitter attenuators. The genset sits on the isolators its maker specifies, with flexible connections for cables, fuel and exhaust, so less vibration reaches the structure. Noise is built to the customer's limit, typically a target sound pressure level of 85 dB(A) at 1 m or 75 dB(A) at 7 m, stated with distance, load and test method (such as ISO 8528-10).

The genset base follows the maker's support points, isolator type and loads and is tied into the floor frame. Fuel is held in a base tank or a separate day tank sized to the required run time; a drip tray across the floor collects fuel, oil and coolant leaks and drains to an outside connection. The fill point is outside the enclosure, lockable and fitted with a spill box, and an external level display can be added.

The emergency stop is mounted outside, so the set can be stopped without entering. Lighting, sockets and genset heaters run on separate circuits. Lighting is fed from the load side of the transfer switch, so after a mains failure it returns once the genset has started and the switch has transferred; where light is needed through that gap, battery-backed emergency luminaires are added. Power cables enter through a rodent-proof floor entry or a wall gland plate, single-core cables through non-ferrous glands; distribution boards and an ATS are added per project.

Twenty- and forty-foot high-cube units keep their ISO corner castings and lift from them with a spreader bar; custom sizes get lifting points from a structural check. Roof-mounted silencers, ducts and louvers are counted in the structural loads, and the enclosure's weight and centre of gravity are supplied with its documents, so the genset OEM can check lifting and transport once the genset is installed.

Product FAQs

Yes. There are four supply levels: Enclosure Only (Interface-Ready) prepares the openings, base support points and penetrations to your genset data; Subsystem Integration and Factory-Integrated Module add the acoustic lining, airflow, exhaust, fuel, power and lighting, and fire protection, giving a genset-ready enclosure in which the genset is placed and connected on arrival.

A containerized generator is a complete set sold by a genset maker, with the genset already inside. A genset enclosure is the container and the fit-out that house the genset; that is what ETENZ builds, and the genset comes from you or your genset supplier.

It depends on the genset's outline, weight, airflow and service space. A common split is a 20 ft high cube for sets up to around 1000 kVA and a 40 ft high cube for about 1250–2750 kVA; larger sets, lower noise limits or several sets side by side go into wider or taller custom enclosures or combined units.

It is built to your limit: thicker lining and higher-grade silencers and louvers bring the level down, and the usual targets are in the specification table. Please state the distance, load and test method of the limit (for example ISO 8528-10) and send the genset's open-set noise data.

High-cube units kept within ISO dimensions can receive CSC approval per project and lift and ship like a standard container; the roof silencer and other protrusions come off for transport and are refitted on site, keeping the ISO outline. Wider or taller custom enclosures ship as out-of-gauge cargo.

Genset model and rating, outline drawing and weight, radiator airflow and permitted restriction, exhaust outlet size and permitted back pressure, fuel run time, the noise limit (distance, load, method), site ambient temperature, altitude and corrosion class, and the supply level you need. If not everything is ready, the genset model and rating are enough to start.

Mainly the enclosure size, the acoustic package (lining thickness, silencer and louver grade), tank capacity, the electrical and fire protection scope, and the supply level. Quotations are built from the genset data and the noise and run-time requirements.

It depends on the supply level and scope: Enclosure Only is the shortest, and more subsystems or tighter noise limits take longer. A production schedule follows once the data is confirmed.

Yes. Colour, markings, nameplate and documents follow the genset OEM's or packager's brand; that is the OEM/ODM Under Your Brand level.
