It is designed for 32 battery packs: 4 rack columns with 8 tiers each. With 1P104S packs of 587Ah cells (about 195 kWh per pack), that adds up to a nominal 6.25 MWh. For fewer packs with more energy in each, see ETENZ's 28-pack 6.25 MWh battery enclosure.

For battery manufacturers and BESS integrators: fit 32 packs of 587Ah cells to complete a 6.25 MWh enclosure, delivered from bare shell to OEM/ODM.
Key Metrics
Product Features
Fits 587Ah packs
All 32 rack positions are made for 1P104S packs of 587Ah cells, so the battery supplier can finalize the fit from the envelope drawing and the racks need no changes at assembly.

Side-door loading
Full-length side doors open onto every pack position with no aisle inside, so one 20 ft enclosure holds 32 packs and any pack can be changed from outside.
Equipment at one end
Liquid cooling, power distribution and fire-suppression equipment sit together at one end, so routine inspection and service go through the end doors without opening the battery area.
Cooling to each rack
The liquid loop is pressure/leak tested and flow-balanced before it leaves the factory; on site, each pack simply connects to the quick couplings at its rack, ready for coolant.
Cluster suppression
Perfluorohexanone (FK-5-1-12) piping runs at cabin and cluster level, taking agent straight to each rack column, and an indicator outside the door warns people not to enter after release.
CSC-approved design
The outline follows the ISO 20 ft high cube and the design carries CSC approval; the complete unit is lifted with container lifting gear, then lashed and transported as a container.
Product Details

Behind the long-side doors stand 4 rack columns, each with 8 tiers of support arms, for 32 pack positions in total. The arms carry locating grooves, so a pack pushed in along them drops into its groove and is held in position; there is no aisle inside the enclosure. ETENZ designs and builds the posts and arms to the pack outline, mass and fixing points; tier load, clearance and cooling-connection positions are marked on the rack envelope drawing issued at quotation stage.

The liquid-cooling unit fills the upper level of the equipment end across the full enclosure width; its top fans exhaust upward, and the front mesh door opens fully for service. The chiller, distribution pipework, hose quick couplings to every rack and per-rack flow balancing are completed in the factory, while the cold plates and in-pack circuits belong to the battery supplier. Condensation forms when the coolant supply temperature is below the dew point of the cabin air, so the dehumidifier is sized to the cabin moisture load and the lowest supply temperature; cooling capacity follows the heat load provided by the battery supplier.
Below the chiller, the electrical compartment opens through two end doors and is laid out in three parts: the floor-standing perfluorohexanone (FK-5-1-12) extinguishing unit on one side, the fire control panel and BMS master control box on the middle partition, and the DC power section with DC busbars and surge protective devices on the other side. The BMS comes from the customer or battery supplier; LV auxiliary distribution, lighting, sockets and internal wiring are designed to IEC 61439-1/-2. The electrical scope ends at the DC output terminals, and the PCS and all wiring from there on are on the system side.
The perfluorohexanone (FK-5-1-12) piping runs at two levels: cabin-level pipes follow the battery-area roof, marked with the medium and flow direction, and cluster-level pipes drop down the rack posts to each rack column. Smoke and heat detectors and audible and visual alarms sit on the same row of roof panels. ETENZ can supply and install the extinguishing unit or connect a system nominated by the customer; either way, the detection, alarm and release interlock interfaces are completed with the enclosure.
Explosion-proof combustible-gas detectors on the battery-area roof monitor hydrogen, carbon monoxide and other combustible gases released when cells fail. Their signals go to the fire control panel, which can start the exhaust fan to clear gas from the enclosure. Alarm thresholds, staged actions and the sequence with suppression and emergency stop are designed per project; pressure relief and explosion venting are configured from the battery off-gas data and local code.
An industrial air conditioner is built into one of the electrical-compartment end doors to cool and dehumidify the distribution, control and fire-protection equipment, and the door carries a sign warning not to open it during operation. Lighting, door contacts, water-leak and temperature-humidity monitoring come fitted with the enclosure, wired to the master control box and reported through the BMS or EMS communication interface.

Product FAQs
Cells and packs are not included: they come from the customer or the battery supplier, who installs them. ETENZ designs and builds the racks around your pack's outline, mass, fixing points and cooling interfaces; a rack envelope drawing is issued at quotation stage, and the rack design is finalized once the battery supplier has checked it.
The enclosure is a 20 ft high cube built to the ISO outline of 6058 × 2438 × 2896 mm, and the design carries CSC approval with a CSC-rated maximum gross mass of 50,000 kg. The loaded weight depends on the packs installed and is calculated for each project.
The whole enclosure is liquid-cooled. The liquid-cooling unit sits on the upper level of the equipment end and discharges air through the top. ETENZ supplies the chiller, distribution pipework and hose quick couplings to every rack and balances the flow to each rack; the cold plates inside the packs belong to the battery supplier. Cooling capacity is selected from the heat load provided by the battery supplier.
The enclosure uses perfluorohexanone (FK-5-1-12) clean-agent suppression with cabin-level and cluster-level piping, plus smoke, heat and combustible-gas detection, audible and visual alarms and a gas-release indicator outside the door. ETENZ can supply and install the extinguishing unit, or the system can be configured around one nominated by the customer; in both cases the detection, alarm and release interlock interfaces are completed with the enclosure.
The enclosure has ISO corner castings at each corner and is lifted and lashed as a container. Lifting points, rigging and centre of gravity are checked against the loaded weight, and the exact tonnage is confirmed per project.
The enclosure sits on the foundation at its corner-casting positions and is fixed there, with the fixing points and loads given on the general arrangement drawing; foundation design and construction are part of the site works.
Price depends on the delivery tier (bare shell, subsystem integration, finished cabin or OEM/ODM), the corrosion category, whether ETENZ supplies the liquid cooling and fire suppression, and the standards required at the destination. For a quotation, please send the battery pack specification (outline, mass and cooling interfaces), the delivery tier you have selected and the project location.
