No. This machine fills the coolant loop of a liquid-cooled BESS enclosure or battery cabinet. Electrolyte filling machines work on cell production lines, injecting electrolyte into battery cells, and coolant bottling fillers, which pack coolant into containers for sale, are another type of machine.

BESS Coolant Filling Machine for Factory First Fill
For BESS enclosure and cabinet makers — a 22 m³/h vacuum pump and a 28 m head filling pump give cooling loops their first fill before shipment.
Key Metrics
Product Features
Vacuum then fill
A 1.1 kW vacuum pump with a pumping speed of 22 m³/h evacuates the whole cooling loop before the filling pump starts.
Vacuum then fill
A 1.1 kW vacuum pump with a pumping speed of 22 m³/h evacuates the whole cooling loop before the filling pump starts.
Self-priming
A self-priming pump fills the filling pump's suction line, so coolant is drawn straight from a tank or drum without a separate feed pump.
28 m head
Rated at 4 m³/h and 28 m head, the filling pump reaches roof-mounted units and high-level pipework directly.
Circulate and vent
Coolant circulates between the loop and the tank while the vent valve is open, carrying the remaining air out of the loop.
Two loop connectors
The quick-coupling model ends in a CQC14 female coupling and can take a flowmeter; the hose-barb model has a 20 mm barb and a digital pressure gauge.
On castors
Under 50 kg on four castors, it moves from one enclosure to the next along the assembly line.
Product Details

Step 1 evacuates the loop; step 2 primes, then fills
The job runs in two steps. First the vacuum pump evacuates the cooling loop through the Ø8 port; when the vacuum gauge reaches the set value, the pump is stopped and its valve closed. Then the self-priming pump fills the suction line of the filling pump, which delivers coolant from the external tank into the loop; the coolant circulates between loop and tank while the vent valve purges the remaining air. When the pressure gauge reaches the charging pressure, the pump is stopped and the valves closed. The vacuum, self-priming and filling pumps each have their own button, and the valves are operated by hand.

Step 1 evacuates the loop; step 2 primes, then fills
Two 50.5 mm tri-clamp ports on the side of the cabinet, one outlet and one return, each have a ball valve; above them sit the Ø8 hose connections of the self-priming and vacuum pumps, and the suction side takes an ID20 hose to the coolant tank. The supplied 4 m hose clamps to the cabinet with a 50.5 mm tri-clamp, and its loop end depends on the model: a CQC14 female quick coupling or a 20 mm OD hose barb. Where the loop's filling port differs, the hose is made to suit it or an adapter is added.
A BESS enclosure's cooling loop gets its first fill before it leaves the factory: the whole loop is evacuated and filled, and that is the job of this filling machine. Top-ups in service, when system pressure or coolant level drops, and refilling after a partial drain for maintenance are done on site with the portable coolant fill cart.
Delivery Scope Options
Equipment supply
Scope 1Equipment supply
Once the model is chosen for the loop connector, the machine is supplied complete: vacuum, self-priming and filling pumps and gauges in one cabinet, with the 4 m hose, a factory test report, a QC certificate and an electronic user manual. At the plant, connect the tank, the hose and a 220 V supply and it is ready to work.

Product FAQs
This machine has a larger vacuum pump and filling pump and is used at the factory for the first fill of the whole cooling loop before shipment. The coolant fill cart is smaller, runs on a single-phase supply and is used on site for top-ups in service. The two can be supplied together.
No. Each of the three pumps has its own button and the valves are manual; the operator stops the pumps when the vacuum and pressure gauges reach the set values. Where flow has to be read, choose the quick-coupling model with a flowmeter.
No. The self-priming pump draws from an external tank or coolant drums, sized by the user for the volume of one fill.
It is set up for the ethylene glycol and water mixture used in BESS liquid-cooling loops, at the concentration given in the specification table. Name any other fluid in the enquiry so the machine's suitability can be confirmed.
A 220 V AC supply from a plant socket. Pumping speed and the other ratings are given at 50 Hz; state it in the enquiry if the plant runs at 60 Hz.
It depends on the loop volume, the vacuum level required and the charging pressure; include all three in the enquiry.
The coolant type, the loop's filling port, the loop volume, the vacuum level and charging pressure required, the height of the filling point above the machine, the power supply (voltage and frequency), the quantity, and whether a flowmeter is needed.
