It houses the converter valves of a static synchronous condenser, whose equipment includes a grid-forming converter and supercapacitors. The valves are commonly water-cooled. The E-House provides enclosure protection, mounting space and the valve operating environment through temperature control, ventilation, gas suppression and flammable-gas monitoring. Water-cooling, cable and earthing interfaces are prepared in the enclosure. Cooling equipment and protection/control panels normally occupy a separate control and cooling E-House.

External access
Separate external doors to fire controls, auxiliary distribution and the cylinder room allow inspection and fire-control operation without entering the energized valve space.
Product Details

Paired equipment doors along the side provide sectional access for valve installation and maintenance. The continuous interior has a chequered steel floor, with cable and mounting openings prepared to the valve layout. Axial fans at the top and bottom of the door posts provide high- and low-level exhaust. Fire-suppression pipework and lighting cable channels run along the ceiling.

The heptafluoropropane cylinders occupy a separate end compartment. Its external door gives access to gauges and actuators without entering the valve space. Solenoid-actuated cylinder valves connect to the overhead pipework through stainless-steel flexible hoses. Agent quantity is determined by the protected volume and design concentration.
Red suppression pipes run along the ceiling with flow-direction markings. A tee connects through a stainless-steel flexible hose to the cylinder room below. Nozzles, pressure-relief openings and compartment seals follow the fire-suppression design. Audible and visual discharge indicators are fitted above the entrance.
Numbered explosion-protected flammable-gas detectors are mounted on door-frame brackets at multiple positions. Local displays show concentration in %LEL, with low and high alarm thresholds. Signals feed the gas-alarm controller in the external fire-control compartment. Emergency lighting also uses explosion-protected fixtures.
The fire-alarm and gas-release controller, flammable-gas alarm controller and fire-control module box share a side compartment with its own door. Access is separate from the high-voltage equipment doors marked to remain closed during operation. Alarm checks and gas-suppression operation take place from outside the valve enclosure.
Each end wall carries two wall-mounted industrial air conditioners selected for the heat load of the valves and auxiliary equipment. On the intake end, a louvre between the air conditioners supplies air for the exhaust fans. Condensate pipes discharge at ground level.

Product FAQs
The equipment determines the layout. A conventional grid-following STATCOM supplies reactive power by following grid voltage. The static synchronous condenser described here combines a grid-forming converter with supercapacitors and commonly uses water-cooled valves. Incoming and outgoing valves typically have separate enclosures, with heptafluoropropane suppression, flammable-gas detection, high- and low-level exhaust and cooling-pipe penetrations. Cooling equipment and protection/control panels use a separate enclosure. Dimensions, structural loading and interfaces follow each equipment maker's drawings. ETENZ offers both types; see the STATCOM E-House product page for the conventional enclosure.
Pipes pass through covered, sealed wall penetrations to a separate control and cooling E-House. Bare-shell supply includes the penetrations, covers and support locations. With subsystem integration or higher delivery tiers, internal pipework and supports are installed in the enclosure. Pipe diameter, routing and interface positions follow the equipment maker's cooling drawings.
Yes, from the Subsystem Integration tier. Heptafluoropropane cylinders are installed in a separate end compartment, with overhead pipework, audible and visual entrance discharge indicators and a factory-wired gas-release controller. Agent quantity follows the protected volume and design concentration. Distributed explosion-protected flammable-gas detectors connect to an externally accessible alarm controller. Site fire-safety acceptance follows the requirements of the project location.
Yes. Length follows the valve arrangement; width, height and door layout follow the equipment drawings and transport conditions. The outgoing valve enclosure shown measures 14.48 × 3 × 3.7 m with 8 side equipment door leaves, and the incoming enclosure measures 12 × 3 × 3.7 m. Floor openings, lifting points and earthing points are also prepared to the equipment maker's drawings.
Provide the valve layout and weight, incoming and outgoing connections, cable routing, cooling method and interfaces, fire-suppression and flammable-gas detection requirements, site climate and corrosion category, and the required delivery tier. Existing enclosure specifications or equipment drawings can be sent directly for quotation.
Lead time starts after drawing approval and depends on enclosure quantity, integration scope, coating system and any witnessed testing. Enclosure manufacture and procurement of fire-protection and climate-control subsystems proceed in parallel. The delivery schedule is agreed in the contract.
